As media ecosystems fragment, public debate has grown louder but increasingly isolated from research-based perspectives. Many of these discussions hinge on complex structural and causal questions - such as how climate systems work and the extent of human influence on rising global temperatures.

There’s a vast body of peer-reviewed evidence on the concepts driving public conversation, yet much of it remains outside everyday awareness. Even when people defer to scientific consensus, the underlying mechanisms often remain abstract. Most of us overestimate how clearly we grasp the many moving parts within systems like climate dynamics.

Our work aims to make scientific content intuitive and engaging—something people naturally want to explore. We use AI and novel charting methods to help people move beyond shallow belief or disbelief in complex topics, and towards genuine understanding. Translating scientific theory into accessible, compelling stories is difficult, but it’s the challenge we’ve chosen to solve.
